Mark your calendars for Woofstock – 2017, Oklahoma’s largest and grooviest pet adoption and a day full of Peace, Love and Pets! The event will take place on September 23, 2017 from 9 am to 3 pm at the Riverwalk Crossing in Jenks, OK and will be heavily promoted through the media. Plan to attend. Woofstock is brought to you by Oklahoma Alliance for Animals and Scripps Radio.
Attendees are invited to bring their own pets to enjoy a day in the park filled with fun activities, music, and food in a pet-friendly atmosphere, but most importantly to adopt homeless pets from area animal rescues and shelters. The event brings together over 40 rescue organizations and animal shelters with a goal of over 100 pet adoptions.
In addition to area rescue groups, attendees can vicist with local pet-related businesses including veterinarians, trainers, retailers, groomers, and doggy day care which will be on hand to talk with pet owners about how they can be of service. Pet owners also can take advantage of $20 microchipping from OAA and $25 animal communication sessions with Pam Case.
Woofstock activities include:
- Adoptable pets from over 40 animal rescue organizations and shelters. All newly-adopted pets will receive a FREE microchip ID tag, and goody bag (courtesy of OAA)
- Pet contests
- $20 microchipping and $5 ID tags from Oklahoma Alliance for Animals
- Animal communication sessions with Pam Case for $25
- Pet-related vendors and businesses
- Food trucks
- Music
