With the Goal of Ending Poverty in Mind, FlyingTee Participates in Red Nose Day
Battles to end child poverty through the power of comedy.
TULSA, OK, May 16, 2017 – Taking a stand against child poverty, FlyingTee will be participating in Red Nose Day on May 25th. The fundraising campaign, organized by Comic Relief, Inc., uses the revenue from the sale of red noses to secure the education, health, and safety of children in the United States and across the world.
Founded by comedians Richard Henry and Jane Tewson, the annual charitable event began in England in1985. Red Nose Day benefits organizations such as Boys & Girls Club of America, Children’s Health Fund, Feeding America, Save the Children, and the Global Fund, among others.
“We are all part of a community,” said CEO John Vollbrecht, “and it is our responsibility to stand in solidarity and ensure the welfare of our youth even if it is just one plastic red nose at a time.” FlyingTee will be selling the noses leading up to Red Nose Day and encourages any and all patrons to wear them with pride on May 25th, “we will be wearing ours”.
